(FoxWeekly) — YouTube is on the verge of releasing their ad-free streaming music service and already they are causing controversy.
YouTube announced that they will block music videos from independent record labels who don’t sign up for the new service. YouTube has already signed deals with major record labels and now big name music channels are at risk.
According to The Guardian, Jack White, Adele, and Arctic Monkeys from YouTube are all at risk of losing their music videos when the new service rolls in.
YouTube’s main goal with this new music service is to make fans have the best experience possible and to be able to connect with their artists. The music videos that are at risked could be getting blocked in as early as just a few days.
Google removing the videos from their video hosting site could disrupt and rip apart musician’s audiences.
